One of the factors that the court considers is the reasonable preference of the child if the court deems the child to be of sufficient intelligence, understanding and experience to express a preference. However, the courts are usually reluctant to let a child testify. You can discuss your options with an experienced family law attorney if you wish for your child’s voice to be heard.
