Transcript

If any alimony is paid, then that amount is added to the person’s income who receives the alimony, and deducted from the person’s income who is paying the alimony in order to run child support. For example, if a husband makes $6,000 per month, and a wife makes $3,000 per month, and husband pays $1,000 per month in alimony to his wife, his income for calculating child support will $5,000, and wife’s income for calculating child support will be $4,000.
